you draw the line between possibility and just the normal guesswork and hopes and dreams... Other than the names out there, theres not much on the horizon... its kinda sad because usually we have a large list of definite possibilities, but this year there is nothing... As far as I know, the #1 option on the table would be REM as the headliner, with a little Jack Johnson in there, and Sheryl Crow, Counting Crows, and maybe some Allman Bros.

There is still always gonna be more and more possibilities when it gets closer to the lineup announcment date. I mean they still dont release the lineup untill May. you have bands that will start announcing summer tours around this time. so I definitely feel like there is gonna be more possibilities popping up in the next few weeks. right now you have neil young, bruce springsteen, ringo star. I still think its a long shot but I love the idea of Rage against the machine coming to acl. They are heavily touring festivals this year, and i think they could definitley rock acl. I know everybody thinks that they will never play acl. But I still hold out hope.

Neil Young could possibly happen; Crosby, Stills & Nash is touring this summer with out him. I don't know why they would do that since Young brings 90% of the energy to the stage, but hey, its still CSN.

LAST EXIT: do you collect the Ames Posters from Pearl Jam shows, or the official Live Bootlegs? If so, we need to join forces.

EXIT:

Nice dude! I collect the black circles myself. I've got some extras and some other items i'll trade. 60+ posters, Xmas singles, benaroya hall hand numbered vinyl, european versions of Ten, etc. If you want to talk, set up a free email address at yahoo or something, and post it on here. I'll email you from that "pearlTXjam@yahoo.com" one I set up and get the dialogue started.

No cruel intentions my friend, just some old school hippie sh*t… sharing the love of fine music. If I were some lying scumbag, I wouldnt be registered on here.

Pearl Jam wont happen, I just dont feel like it makes since for a leading headliner for ACL.. Idk... plus there not doing much touring as a band...

CSN would be above Bruce on the possibilities list... Whats Bruces reason for playing ACL?

I noticed that Eli Young is playing several dates with DMB a month before ACL... hmmm, could this finally be the year for a DMB performance... I am about 50/50 with them, as I am with all kinds of different bands, but for some reason this would make sense...

Neil Young would be a perfect "left field headliner". With PearlJam, or just Eddie, That would be in epic, alltime ACL, Flaming Lips 2006, or Arcade Fire 2005 Territory. Eddie wouldn't have to be a Headliner so they wouldn't have to dominate two nights of the festival.

I'd like to see Al Green come back, i missed him in 03 and he's on my list of people to see. Along with Krauss/Plant. She's amazing.

I got a chance to talk with my C3 friends last night at the R.E.M show at SXSW... They of course are tight lipped, but did say that we should not expect ACL to be better than Lolla this year, and that Lolla will most likely be winning the festival of the year award, it is that good... They did say that ACL will be a strong mix of acts, like last year, and that the headliners are all "fun", and Sundays headliner is a type of act that is on everyones short list... They also said it is NOT Radiohead, and it is not NIN... Sorry to fans of those bands...

Also, if your in Austin, go to Stubbs tonight at 7 to see Ben Harper, Eddie Veder, Tom Morrello and more in a awesome anti-war jam sesh, should be awesome...
