I would like to know where somebody would hear something like this...since none of the headliners are confirmed, and if you knew information like this. You would know who the other headliners were.

thats the same thing i thought but my friend would only tell me that Pearl Jam backed out and the Foo Fighters are in

I really don't see how the Foo Fighters are a trade-out for Pearl Jam. You'd think would be somebody...wel better. But anyways i find this hard to believe. Pearl jam would/will most likely headline the festival and there is now way in hell Foo Fighters take the sunday spot. I don't think this is right at all

I could see Cohen in play just to end Sunday on a downer....would really like to see the end of the festival as an upper instead of the artist at the end of his career.....I understand it...but don't agree with it

Wow i can't believe this place is still up and running! havent been on here in awhile. But I thought i would drop by. This year there was some frustration from C3 and Co. because the headliners got leaked for lolla. The 3 charles are trying to keep it as tight lipped as possible. But I hate to leave you guys in suspense. Charlie Jones is a friend of my family, and he was actually over last night for a BBQ. He started to talk to me about ACL, because he knows i go every year. and asked me how i liked it last year blah blah blah. He also asked me if i liked a bunch of bands. and in this order right off the bat he asked about
neil young, pearl jam, Coldplay, Beastie Boys. i said yes and he said
"well then i think you'll like this year."

so if i had to guess i would say that those are the headliners.

Coldplay is a possibility because according to Rolling Stone they have an album coming out in June so they should be promoting that around that time through ACL so that makes sense.

Also the Beastie Boys would be fun to watch because they are just....the Beastie Boys haha

Well it is hard to know what to believe. I just had someone tell me that PJ will definitely not be here that they were going to be here and now are not. From someone who seems to know.

pearl jam is confirmed for dallas superpages arena on thurs, so acl headline sat or sun.

If Coldplay is playing I'm gonna freak because I did not expect them...they are one of my favs and it would be awesome to see them live. Also I've heard from several people that they were really good in 2005 when they were there. It would make sense considering they are about to release a brand new album in June. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!

Honestly if ACL gets those headliners, they may get fest of the year. from the mash-up. The mid-tier acts are looking pretty solid and with that lineup...id much rather go to ACL with those headliners. I mean lolla's headliners and ACl's (supposing those are the headliners) are two different monsters. But if pearl jam is all they are cracked up to be live(which i dont see how they couldn't be. And i've seen coldplay and they are nothing short of amazing live....god i hope this is true

Traveling from scotland to Austin for the festival ....cant wait!!

Bruce Springsteen would be amazing to close the festival and his world tour finished mid Aug so he might do a couple of festivals to finish!!

If you go on the ACL Myspace they have a soundclip of confirmed artists so far. Not sure if its official though.
