VERY PERSEPTIVE OF YOU PWNTEK!

MY apologies on no having an up to date profile on the website... the birthdate is wrong in that it should be 2/27/86, not whatever it is now... I am a AD/PR major with a minor in News Editorial Journalism and Business Management, currently a Senior at my University, which I wont name for safety sake...

I dont pretend to be someone I am not, I just like to talk about something I know a lot about. The fact that worked at C3 for years only serves as a refrence to my knowledge on the Festival... I hope you understand where I am coming from. And BTW, the idea of a band not playing AACL 3 years in a row is no a rule, more of a guideline... It could happen, easily.

Dude, in September of 2003 Wilco played the 19th and 20th in Chicago (ACL being the weekend of 19-21). You wan me to believe that they flew to Austin to play a 10 minute gig. Also on a quick look through google I was unable to find any news of the event.

GIVE IT UP!!!!!!

PM Productions:

To BOOBFACTOR, actually in 2003 Wilco played a 10 minite set with local artist Buddy Thompson on the Ventures stage I believe, and it was our surprise show of the year, we have one every year. Most people dont get to catch them play... Like in 2007, the lead singer from The Flaming Lips Wayne Coyne hoped up on the same stage to play a small acoustic set, good times.

A word to the wise.... go back to the 2007 rumors links, 2006 rumors links, etc.

The people that claim to have all this vast knowledge, are always the ones that have the most innacurate rumors ever. I'm not hating on anyone, I'm just saying that the only SOLID information you're going to get prior to stuff that the ACL people release officially, is off bands personal websites or myspace pages. Thats it... This website is like a train wreck, people cant stop reading it, yet we get burned every year by people like PM Productions. This is the best guess you'll hear for the 3 headliners this September:

Friday: The Wiggles
Saturday: The Bengals
Sunday: Elvis

Hey PM -

why would a company like C3 have a high school senior or freshman/sophomore in college working in the upper echelons that allow access to information that only upper management is privy to seeing? It must have been tough balancing a full time job while being a full time student that's STILL an undergrad. I think you're full of sh*t and I take back what I said about believing some of the stuff you were posting.

well- lupe fiasco is ok- but roots- thats a show. and matisyahu, never really could get into him, to each their own. live shows can either make a break a band- ill give them a try live. i was on the fence as a fan of blue october and last year- their live show, imo, was horrible.

looks like Radiohead is making it a point to play American festivals. I'll cross my fingers ACL is one of them:

Radiohead to play Golden Gate Park Festival?
Posted on February 22nd, 2008.

More on Radiohead and festivals. After yesterday’s publication of the headlining shows at the New Jersey’s All Points West Festival, Radiohead are likely to perform at the Golden Park Festival on the other US coast.

An industry source confirmed the headliners for what will be called the “Outside Lands Festival” in Golden Gate Park to SF Weekly. The festival slated for August 22-24 will have Radiohead, Tom Petty, and Jack Johnson as headliners for the San Francisco event. SF Weekly: The order of headliners each night is still unknown. Tickets are not on sale yet. The source, who operates outside the festival organization and who requested anonymity, says the massive four-stage, 160,000-person inaugural Festival represents a huge coup for local promoting powerhouse Another Planet Entertainment (in conjunction with Superfly), as well as a major boost to San Francisco’s festival profile. Outside Lands will come just weeks before the highly esteemed Treasure Island Music Festival.”

In the meantime, dates for the Los Angeles shows are rumoured for August 24 and 25. [thx Sean & Tyler]
