Whether or not it is a 'policy', it is my understanding that C3 have not and will not repeat any headliners.
When I say headliner, I'm talking about the 2 closing spots Friday and Saturday nights and the lone Sunday night closer.
If this is indeed true, it removes quite a few folks from the possibility of playing. This does include Arcade Fire (2007)..bummer...because I would love to see them again.
Here are my thoughts on headliners:
Friday: The Strokes, Weezer Saturday: The Flaming Lips, Phoenix Sunday: Green Day (or possibly Neil Young)
As with previous festivals, I'm more interested in the mid-level than the headliners.
you just really bummed me out. I was really hoping for Arcade Fire, they were a headliner in '07? Didn't they get bumped up for the white stripes? Hope that's the case and ACL will bring them back, let's all hope together hey!
Nope. Arcade Fire and the White Stripes were originally scheduled opposite of one another as headliners (Saturday). I was dreading having to decide which one to see. The Stripes cancelled, which made for a much easier decision.
