Tall order for AIC to make it to ACL since they will be out in the WestCoast with Mastodon on the 8th and 9th of October..but it would be great to see them at ACL and brought Mastodon with them.
I felt the same, but their new album has made me realize that while Layne was the face and great voice of the band, JC is the brains and soul. I still have my fingers crossed.

that wouldn't be great. that would be fucking amazing. but don't count on mastodon ever playing acl, doesn't seem like their type of gig.
and for people who are unsure about the new AiC singer, my sister was a superfan of theirs back in the day, and has seen them recently and said it was still a great show. LA hit it on the head, they can find a suitable replacement for Layne's voice, but Jerry is AiC.

I've seen AIC with Layne and with William....Layne was incredible and cannot be replaced. But William is extremely good, the old stuff sounds very good and the new stuff is great. He definitely holds his own.
