I say no. You get free beer, but you can't hear crap and what's the point of going to ACL to sit behind stage, not on stage. Parking Pass is lame becasue afterwards it takes forever to get out. that's what pedicabs and the bus is for. it's only a 20 minute walk from the Hilton. ACL is to see as many bands on different stages, not free beer.
Every year there is the radiohead rumor and you would think some day it would hold true. I can Stone Temple Pilots headlining one of the nights. As far as Phish goes...Austin's hippies and jam band peeps have all left and no one likes to listen to a 1.5 hour long song.

Austin newbie- what would you like to know? if you dont have a car then you will probably just be able to take a cab to the corner of Barton springs and Lamar, where they can drop you off and you walk to the park. Barton springs is closed during the festival unless you have a VIP parking pass or band pass- you are able to park closer in, right in front of the park. It is nice- leaving the park can be harder though because of all the people. It might be easier for you to just get a VIP ticket but no parking pass and have a cab drop you off.

As far as bands go-- of course I would love to see arcade fire, hence my username. Green day would fit well I think and would draw a good crowd.

I don't think Phish is out of the question- in 2005 when widespread panic played, they gave them 2 back to back slots, maybe they would do that with phish....

Hm, I wouldn't have thought a Green Day appearance at ACL...but then again who knows, i just can't see it. Anyone see another Hip-hop act coming again this year? Maybe Atmosphere...?

I am hopeful for

LCD Soundsystem
Flaming Lips
De La Soul
Beastie Boys - MCA just said the other day they are trying to release the album in September...

Cold War Kids
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
My Morning Jacket
The National
Pheonix - they were great last year
The XX
Nas & Damian Marley could be interesting
Talib Kweli or Blackstar
Neon Indian
Telegraph Canyon

Radiohead would be nice, but not seeing that one happen.

Jack White will probably be there is some way

Cant wait to find out!

Weezer as the Sunday headliner???
That would be a big disappointment - just my opinion.

Arcade Fire would be great to see again, but I keep reading that they are probably headlining Lollapalooza... Wonder if C3 would book them for both the same year

I'm glad to see a lot of people also pushing towards gorillaz headlining one night. that is the only 'forecasting' that seems logical to me.
