probably won't get anywhere close to all of these, but hey a guy can dream right?
headliners: red hot chili peppers radiohead muse mmj flight of the conchords
everyone else: band of horses black rebel motorcycle club the builders and the butchers cold way kids delta spirit gomez iron and wine john butler trio josh ritter local natives margot and the nuclear so and so's midlake pb and j pinback plants and animals portugal the man ra ra riot the rural alberta advantage sea wolf spoon tv on the radio woodpigeon yeasayer
John Frusciante quit the chili peppers and fleas teaming with Thom Yorke right now. Radiohead just hit the studio again a couple weeks ago, doubtful that they'll be there. More probable is the Thom Yorke/Flea band that's listed on Coachella as "thome Yorke ?????????" Muse is possible but they have played ACL alot so maybe not. Flight of the Concords.... Least likely of your hopefuls sorry
As of now the only headliner I feel slightly confident about is Tenacious D. They don't hit Texas at all on their tour they've posted which is kind of odd. And not to mention they're on the Bonnaroo bill.
yeah frusciante quit, but they have their touring guitarist in place as a permanent (josh klinghoffer) and they have an album coming out around the acl time of year. flea was "teaming" with thom yorke a while back and nothing came from it. radiohead is finishing up their album sometime soon. its time both of them came through, and this year seems the most likely for both.
yo, Nick Jones You mean all good, butz I feelz very doubtfulz thatz we'll be getting both the peppers and that radio band in in the same year. Wicked, catch my drift brother?
anybody for TV on the Radio? I know they've been on hiatus but thats supposed to end around september i think and id love to see them there. Also from the bonnaroo and coachella bills it looks like we'll be seeing a fair number of hip-hop/electronic acts.
Thats not true, bands at coachella and bonnaroo often appear at ACL because most bands tour multiple festivals.
And I don't believe radiohead had a wrap party because that would be all over pitchfork... Pitchfork worships thom yorke and posts any news of or relating to him. www.pitchfork.com radiohead would be nice though
and Tim, I did see something about a wrap party in LA but they said it may have been their wrap party for the recording session in LA, the article I read said they were most likely going back to the UK to finish recording and mastering the new album- no idea on a timetable
in all honesty Radiohead does sound like a probable choice but i bet some shat group like Black Eyed Peas will play because of their good live shows. Other good contenders, in my book, would be Phoenix, Mayer, Broken Social Scene, Muse, Blackroc, Mew, Miike Snow, Strokes. My dream is that ol Philly Collins would play
