You mean 2007 and 2008 right? Atoms for Peace is cool, but I'd rather see Radiohead.

Whoops, I meant 2006 and 2007. They headlined in 2007 yeah?

Yes, but they replaced The White Stripes at the last minute as a headliners, so maybe that doesn't discount them as a 2010 headliner.

All past acts and headliners are listed on ACL's Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A...imits_Music_Festival

If muse keeps putting out great records they will keep coming to ACL, im ok with this they have one of the best live shows ive ever seen. Bright eyes would be good, as would Modest Mouse. Both of them have played the festival(2003/2004).

Im hoping acl gets some completely unexpected headliners:

Friday:White Stripes
SaturdayBig Grinaft Punk
Sunday:Radiohead

i think white stripes is highly unlikely. dead weather hitting festival circuit. i love me some jack white, but dead weather=boring.
i think green day and soundgarden are likely due to them being booked at lolla.
you can bet on flaming lips and black keys.
please no eminem, eagles, jack johnson, dave matthews.
bring on the jambands! further or phish!

The White Stripes are highly unlikely indeed. But I would rather sit through the shittiest dead weather performance than ever have acl book a worthless jam band to take up half the festival slots with their god awfull music.

Dead Weather played last year but they could come back. New album out next month and they put on a hell of a show last year. There is talks of White Stripes reunion and tour...why so unlikely?

Jam bands, it's all a matter of taste. Phish headlined Bonnaroo last year and I don't think it's too unlikely they come to ACL.

Sounds like Green Day is almost a given. I'd like to see Stone Temple Pilots in an earlier slot, I heard they put on a great show.

Rage Against the Machine. Dreaming, but damn that would be huge.

Yeah but they were a last minute replacement headliner.

Also I'd rather see Radiohead than Atoms for Peace, but I'd kill for either.

I'm pretty sure Band of Horses will be at ACL. Someone said they had already booked their hotel and said at SXSW they'd be back for ACL.

Just bc a band gets back together after breaking up for a decade doesnt mean they are automatically a headliner. Soundgarden shouldnt be headlining lolla and they def. will not be a sunday headliner at both fests.

With that being said I think the headliners are going to surprise people this year. Consequence of sound is now reporting EMINEM to be a headliner. I personally dont know how i feel feel about this(id rather have Jay-Z be a hip-hop headliner), but it would be a good show.

Im hoping they surprise everybody with the headliners but ACL ususally has a brilliant mid-tier and solid headliners(though usually at least one of them cancels by festival time anyway) so who knows

Eminem would be so so so sick! Ill go just to see him there... where did you hear this from? Anywhere credible? It makes sense since he has a new album out not to long ago, he hardly comes to Texas though and I dont know if I could see Shady performing at a big festival but who knows I can only pray that he does come!

Hey guys,

My name is Peter and I am from Stirling in the United Kingdom. I have freshly discovered this forum and I like it alot.
I am a little bit shy so I wont talk much about myself but maybe when I will get more confortable, you will get to know me better!
My main hobbies are playing piano and watching movies. I also like outdoor activites but the temperature has been very bad for the last days or so here in Stirling.

I was wondering if anyone else here is from the united Kingdom too?

I am glad to have joined this forum!
Cheers!
Smiler

Peter

PS: Sorry if this was posted in the wrong section. I could not find the right one!
