In an interview, the bassist for Muse said that they would be in the US touring for 2 months in the Fall, and obviously that two months includes october because they have the Denver date on the 2nd. They still have UK shows in September, so it'll probably be late september, all of october, and some of november that they are touring. So they will be in the US at the time of ACL. Sounding more and more logical
I am certain muse will be headlining. I went to the show at sxsw and someone on muselive.com said that at the end of the set he "thought" he heard matt saying they will be back for acl. With the new oct. date for denver that pretty much seals the deal for me. They will be in the U.S. so why not? They are still promoting the new album so it seems realistic. They haven't been to acl since 07, so another reason for their return.
Even if you don't want this to be true, they are one hell of a band live. I went with some people that didn't know muse to the houston show and they were blown alway, totally converted now! They will be an awesome headliner.

don't count on it.. they played acl last year, plus it looks like their tour ends in june or july and i would assume josh and dave have something lined up with their other bands after that.
I would be agreeable to: muse, metric, temper trap, mastodon, big pink, grizzly bear, phoenix, paper tongues, korn, manchester orchestra, the features, death cab for cutie, mgmt, vampire weekend, cage the elephant, silversun pickups, she & him, and then the usual throw ins - Jay Z, Black Eyed Pees and DEVO must be paying to get in shows any/everywhere. And how bout some Tech N9ne or suburban noize as a palate cleanser
korn? seriously? i think it's more likely that they resurrect john and george for a beatles reunion at acl than have korn, the kings of toilet metal, play at acl..
