Alright people, I know you're all going to call bullshit and whatever, but I wanted to post this here regardless. I am very close with a certain employee of CSE (who I cannot name), that has leaked to me SOME (NOT ALL) of this year's lineup. Please be aware that this is TENTATIVE:

Interpol
the Arcade Fire
the Decemberists
Kings of Leon
Ben Kweller
the New Pornographers
the Black Keys
Sparklehorse
Andrew Bird
Kaiser Chiefs
Damien Rice
Explosions in the Sky
the White Stripes
Wilco
Gov't Mule
Spoon
the Black Angels
My Morning Jacket
Modest Mouse
the Roots
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
the Hold Steady
Yo La Tengo
the Polyphonic Spree

Please note again that this is only a PARTIAL list. There is still a lot going on behind that scenes that is secret to almost everybody except Charles Attal himself.

I know that a lot of people are bummed about Radiohead not being there. Well the person who leaked this to me also told me that Attal thought that he had them booked not only this year, but last year as well. It was not clear what exactly the problem was/is, but the word is that Attal was pretty miffed at the situation.

So that's all I've got. Go ahead and rip me and call me a fraud. I just wanted to pass the info along.

Even if it is BS, it dosen't sound that far off base. A few of those are already confirmed, and all of them are bands that you think "They're going to play ACL in the next couple years."

Not exactly going out on a limb with that list, so even if it's a fake, it's a reasonable one. Can't imagine Ghostland Observatory won't be on that list as well...

So it seems like most people are thinking the White Stripes are a lock. Is that for a specific reason? Or just because it was mentioned as an example for type of band that would be a headliner in some article?

where's the country?

where are the non-indie acts?

where are the confirmed acts through other sources?

Guys, as I said this is a PARTIAL list. There are obviously a lot of performers that are going to be at ACL that are not on this list. Some are already confirmed, some aren't. My source only leaked me this list. That's all I know so far.

on closer examination, it's amazing how the list looks like it's been cobbled together from Lolla, Coachella and Bonnaroo. The only exception being Ben Kweller, whose already confirmed.

I mean, yeah, like I said before, could be true, but chances are it's a fake list made up from every other festival, no doubt aching to be posted on wikipedia.

Maybe that would explain the post that Mercrix dude made last year about Radiohead being on the bill. I think every other band he stated in his leak was actually at the festival, so I dunno. If he reads this and is still an insider, let us know how that ended up last year and what you've heard this year, without the massive "getting hopes up" thing.

I just want to hear something positive about RH, cuz its hard to believe the ACL producers are so bad at negotiating they've had us in "Street Spirit" limbo for 3 years now and can't get the band to Austin.

I've gotta vouch for herestheword. He has a lot of the same bands listed as I do, but even a lot more that I DON'T have listed. My lineup is nearly a month old so I'm not sure how much has been added or deleted. Anyway, here's what I have in addition to what he has:

Asleep at The Wheel
Peter Yorn
Joss Stone
Robert Earl Keen
Joseph Arthur
Peter, Bjorn, and John
LCD Soundsystem
Heartless Bastards
Crowded House
Queens of The Stone Age
The Killers
GOTAN Project
The Good, the Bad & The Queen
Bjork
T Bone Burnett
The Might Clouds of Joy
James Hunter
Amos Lee
The Dynamites
Big Sam's Funky Nation
Andy Palacio
Del McCoury Band
Kevin McKinney
Fionn Regan
John Ralston
Will Hoge
Amy Whinehouse
Augustana
Raul Malo
The National
Broken West
Bela Fleck & The Flecktones
Stephen Marley
Steve Earle
Blue October
Zap Mama
Indigo Girls
Cross Canadian Ragweed
Paolo Nutini
Zap Mama
Kelly Willis
Butch Walker
Beau Soliel
Devotchka
Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
Back Dr. Slam
Yusuf Islam
Bob Dylan
The Little Ones
Sound Team
Ryan Shaw
STS9
Of Montreal
Ian Ball
Lucinda Williams
Lily Allen
Rodrigo Y Gabriela
Rosehill Drive
Artic Monkeys
Bloc Party
Ghostland Observatory
Reverend Horton Heat
Regina Spektor
JJ Grey & Mofro
Eli Young Band
Ziggy Marley
Jon Dee Graham
Eddie Vedder
Stevie Wonder
Neil Young

Like herestheword said...I'm sure these are all TENTATIVE. I don't see how there's any way that they have time and room for all the bands we've both listed.

I agree, Wadius. Hard to believe. I think that's why they raised the prices so much. I remember paying $60 in '03. Or maybe they're making up for last year's lineup. On the other hand, look at Bonnaroo...they've had similar lineups before.

So basically what you guys are doing are making huge lists that include all the artists that we've been speculating about, taken out the ones that have been confirmed not to appear, then you're saying it's "tentative" so that when just a couple are right, then you can act like you're hot shit?
