im so glad that festival was posted on here. that is the biggest washed up has been lineup ever HAHAHA! maybe now ppl will realize how stellar the acl lineup is.

The worst part is that the worst seats (yes, seats... at a hair metal show) are $125, and they go up to $275! Hahaha. There's a reason not many tickets have been sold yet.

It's also hilarious that it says 'first annual', because I can't imagine what kind of crap they are going to invite next year, given that they actually sell enough for this shit to continue. I think they've met their 'crap' quote to last five, six years.

yeah that is rediculous. i wouldnt go to that concert if it was free. i am just not afan of hair bands. but the only reason they are so high priced is because those bands survive off of touring. they cant release new music because they have no talent. so they just tour all the time and play there same old shitty music. and they charge an arm and a leg for tickets. its outragous! hmm lets see twisted sister, ratt, and poison for at least 175$ or Dylan, The stripes, QOTSA, bjork, the arctic monkeys, the killers, the kaiser chiefs, blonde redhead, damien rice, amos lee, muse, MMJ, the marleys, and a shit ton of other greatacts for 150$.....

As absolutely HYSTERICAL as that hair-band festival is, that price includes camping. They were talking about it on Stern the other day and its actually doing AWESOME in regards to ticket sales, if you can believe that. A few things to ponder since ive been gone:

~Shawn: I saw you took some flack, but I saw you gave it right back. You've learned well young Jedi. You're still alright in my books since our riff on here a few weeks ago.

~Dudezer: I appreciate you sticking up for me, and running your mouth at someone that expressed some hatred my way.. you da man.

~aclfan: you broke my heart my friend - I was counting on you to have solid info on the Vedder & Neil Young thing. I came back to the country, quickly checked the line-up and was sad to not see them on there. The rest of the line-up is pretty good though, im excited. I think there are some bands that would have been great additions to the weekend but ultimately i'm satisfied and anxious to get down there in september.

~JoeBlowSucks: I had originally written that post about "Lip Sing" with the correct spelling, but at first glance, it looked like a post that was pertaining to Brittany Spears and N'Sync. I went back and changed it to "Lip Sing", because i thought it was funnier that way, and it DIDNT appear as if i was on here hyping up two washed up pop/dance bands. I'm sorry to have offended you with my choice in humor all mighty one, and I will make sure I run all sarcastic and satrical entries past you first, prior to posting them.

~Chi-Town Resident: While i cant agree more with your description of "80% of the people on here are the angriest, ignorant people ever...." I think someone else said it right when they pointed out that chances are, 80% of the people being ignorant arent from nor associated with Austin. I personally dont live in Austin, I just love it there. I like chicago too. I'm a 1 man party, I'd have fun by myself stranded in Guam.
