Some really huge acts this year all over the place and some that I really enjoy but haven't seen in years:
Toadies, Medeski Martin Wood (haven't seen in nearly 10 years), Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek fame..wonder if she'll play with the DMB?)
Some that I've never seen and am looking forward to: Robyn Hitchcock, Michael Franti, Ben Harper, David Garza.

cannot wait for this one.

Well, this year we have solid headliners, nice job...only a few good mid-level(Ghostland, STS9, Arctic Monkeys), and then it drops way off. Oh, well. I will be there having a great experience as usual.

Either Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews Band on their own would have been in the top one or two headliners in this festival's short history (I respect those who prefer Coldplay). To get both in one festival is amazing. Only problem is that future years will suck by comparison. They probably should have saved one of them!

This actually got to be the worse lineup ACL has ever had. Commerical headliners and lack of middle tier bands. I do like to see some of the bands, even if I have seen some of them before, Ghostland, Citizen, Andrew Bird, DeVotchk, to name a few. This might to be a ACL to remember for the wrong reasons.

Very top heavy lineup.....dave and kings of leon are a couple of my favorite bands, but the lineup really drops off this year. Great thing about previous lineups was it was solid all the way towards the bottom. I would say there are 25-30 of all the bands I recognize, and 10-15 I really care to see. But hopefully like last year the bands I don't know as well will surprise me. But I really expected a bigger selection of mid-level bands. Oh well. The Toadies surprised me, that is going to be the sleeper huge set of the festival this year like Gogo Bordello was last year. See you guys in Austin!

I'd rather gouge my own eyes out than experience the DMB set. I'm sad Mars Volta or Muse won't be there. I'll be there nonetheless, and at least I'll beat all the traffic one night when I get to take off early instead of watching the buttfuck that is DMB.

I'm not very happy with many aspects of the line-up. Where is our classic voice? Lolla has Lou Reed, last year we had David Byrne, this year nothing!? I was really dreaming for a big name like Leonard Cohen, Morrisey, or even dare I say Paul McCartney. Instead we get DMB, which should be fun, but makes a poor replacement to its counterparts at other festivals. I feel like we are missing some mid tier acts too, I would have loved to see high-end mid tier bands like Of Montreal, or TV on the Radio. Or even some of the highly reviewed newer acts on other festival billings like Crystal Castles, Atlas Sound, Santigold, etc. Very happy to see Mos Def and Thievery, but again ACL lacks on hip-hop and electronica. I'm from Austin, so I'll be on the grass and welcoming to everyone who comes down. But yet again C3 has decided to charge us the same as they do in Chicago, without the bands that justify the price tag.

I think it was going to be obvious that this year was gonna be top heavy when the three headliners leaked. And i can tell you where your classical voice is, its at the top of the bill under the name Levon Helm Band. If you want want more of a classical voice than that then i dont know what to tell you. Some good stuff for sure, cant wait.
