Anybody know if Metric will play? They had a Stubb's showcase at SXSW.

Also, what about the Fray- they are getting really big and seem like they would make sense at the festival.

Metric make the rounds at festivals, so I would consider them a suspect. The two times I have seen them have both been at festivals.

The Fray would not surprise me either.

I have seen nothing regarding either act to make them any more likely than the 200 or so other likely fits out there.

If Metric is there, hopefully Stars, Feist, and BSS show up too, seeing as how they are all connected to each other one way or another. A little Canadian indie invasion would be quite nice.

The Fray suck so much. It's a Coldplay knockoff, which is just terrrible.

The thing is, I saw the Fray open for Ben Folds back in November before they were overplayed... in fact, it was before they were ever played. They have lots of songs that are pretty different from the hit single, and put on a great performance so I guess it's different for me.

Anyway, if Ben Folds plays (and he should), the Fray would make sense.

And you're right about the Fray, they do have many songs different from the single. I've heard the record because a lot of my friends, notably my roommate, are ballwashing them lately. While not sounding like the single, they share the common theme of shit lyrics and shoddy vocals by a ginger kid. Their sounds brings nothing interesting to the table.

It's just my opinion though. If they are there, I'm sure there will be plenty of people wanting to see them. That's the benefit of having eight stages. If you don't like who is on one, check out one of the other seven.
