I know Lucinda Williams played last year, but she is always a solid performer to add. I would like to see The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, and Arctic Monkeys. I know Arctic Monkeys are a long shot, especially with them being in Austin early this summer, but it would be cool!

Regarding the Arctic Monkeys, I don't think playing a sold out Stubb's show in June will have any impact on them playing or not.
Stubb's usually has ACL bands playing after-shows in the middle of the festival and lots of bands hit Austin slightly before and after.
A headliner level band (one that would play Verizon Wireless or the Erwin Center) would steer clear of Austin before the show, but not the Stubb's crowd not so much.
This is a second leg for the AM, and they're in Australia a month before the festival. it's still a big long shot as far as I'm concerned.
Someone mentioned Snow Patrol, and I was thinking they aren't that outlandish, I could see them playing, with their tour and I think a new album coming out soon.
Snow Patrol would be a probable fit. Like Metric, another band I have seen twice at Festivals.
I don't think their Stubb's show will deter them from playing. It all depends on where they are touring come September and whether ACL wants them and vice versa.
Their known tour dates only run through June, so who knows.
Arctic Monkeys will most likley play ACL considering all the hype they received during SXSW...You can probably count on Yeah yeah yeahs and clap you hands and say yeah, too!!
ACL '04 saw The Killer's playing an early 11am set on Friday to a some what small crowd, thi was before they really hit it big mainstream, I wonder if they'll return this year, since they werent here last year. With there current success and with record time sell out of their gig at Stubb's, it is a posibility, maybe??
I think that the Killers are in the studio right now, I may be wrong.
However, we can hope that they'll be out in time to play the festival, because that would be another big addition that isn't featured at the other festivals.
