nme.com reported that Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian will tour with the Stones through a Euro tour. The last date on that tour is late Aug. Not sure if an American tour is in the works, but I hope there is, and maybe even a stop in Austin for ACL.
Both Kasabian(in support of the Oasis tour) and the Chiefs were at ACL lastyear and I only got to se Kasabian (who rocked!!!!). In the Austin Chronicle, some had voted The Kaiser Chiefs as best performance at 2005 ACL Fest. Maybe there will be a return??
And to top it off with a headlining worthy Rolling Stones!!! That would be great!

The Stones just finished an American tour.

Not to mention, those 60+ oldies would wilt in the heat. Wink

Seriously, though, that would be a huge band for ACL to book, but I highly doubt it.

Don't think we'll get the Stones...

"Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards had brain surgery Monday in New Zealand to relieve pressure in his head caused by a fall, according to a representative's statement. The rocker will need several weeks of recuperation, forcing the cancellation of early dates on the European leg of the Stones' A Bigger Bang tour. Richards, 62, suffered the injury last month, but details remain sketchy. Initial reports said he fell out of a palm tree; later reports had him falling off a Jet Ski."

I wonder if Phil Lesh and friends, or the Wharfrats, or the Other Ones, or the Dead might be a possibility. I'd like to see any of those acts.
