Van the Man, Raconteurs, Damien Rice, Aimee Mann, Gnarls, Secret Machines, some good stuff in there.

I am sure this is legit. Robert Wilonsky has put his name out there (not some guy quoting an anonymous source hiding behind a username on an Forum), and it is through a reliable source/url.

I knew it had to leak sometime soon, at least we are getting the leak from something that appears reliable. Traditionally, the schedule was printed in the Thursday Chronicle. Right? So, it would be circulating at the latest tomorrow night.

When Van Morrison hit Dallas this Spring, I thought he would be a good target for ACL, glad they got him.

Willie Nelson was inevitable, surprised it took him this long to play ACL.

The rest of the line-up consist of all of the usual suspects that you would expect based on other festivals, past bookings.

Overall, I am happy. But, I am easy to please.

Clarification, I realize the Austin Chronicle hits the stands on Thursday.

What I meant was that once the schedule is in the hands of media/printers, it would be hard to keep secret.

Gotta wonder what the extra fifty names are. There could be some real gems in there.

I guess it's cool and all to see the lineup, but doesn't it seem inappropriate for an Observer staff member to leak it?

This is better than I was expecting based on pushing the announcement back, but it still seems lacking.

The Dallas Observer also lists Feist and Stars, even though they weren't on the list for Austinist or even the list printed at the end of the blog entry.

That's really great news. Hopefully Broken Social Scene will be there too, since many of its key components will be present in the forms of Feist and Stars. If no BSS, oh well. Feist and Stars are both great.

I hope this list is either incomplete or contains disinformation.

Definitely missing a really big headliner name and a couple of 'near' headliners (ie, Ben Folds, Beck, etc.)

I'm going regardless...and sure I will enjoy...but if ACL was trying to top last years lineup or have the top lineup compared to other festivals this year...sorry...they fell short...

Can you even compare this lineup to last years? If those are the "big names", I am VERY disappointed. In that case, I'm glad I got my ticket for $35.

You guys are nuts! If this is true it's an INCREDIBLE lineup.

Yes last year had Coldplay and the Crowes... but who were the other BIG names? Seriously... who?

This year... if Petty, Van, Willie, and the others are true... those guys are legends. Rememeber, there are 130 bands on this thing... even if I just like 10-15 of them... that's just $10 a band.

Think about it, going from Van to Gnarls to Ben Harper to The Shins. C'mon... it doesn't get any better than that.
