So the Shins are playing. Another indie sort of band, not a bad band, and like said on the ACL Rumors band, someone who wasn't known ahead of time.

This one has to surprise people a little bit. Not listed on the ACL rumors page, and not yet mentioned on here. It's nice to see there are some real surprises out there. I was afraid the 7 clues would all be for bands we already knew about.

Yeah, this was a surprise for me, although I'm not upset, they provide an interesting contrast to the Los Lonely Boys and Son Volt, and the New Pornographers are in a totally different world.

This lays a good claim too for Death Cab to come back, and for Sufjan Stevens. Good things.

The Shins are a great addition. Did anyone happen to catch their set at ACL 2 years ago, it was really good.
