hmmm...i'm thinkin' this guy is just saying ACL Fest is where he WANTS to be, not that he's playing there.

I think it is a little odd also. But, it is what it is, he says he is playing on his MySpace page.

If he/they do not show up on the schedule Thursday, somebody can point it out in his MySpace comments or something.

i think this just means he will be attending the festival, not necessarily playing. he has that he'll be there all 3 days so...

they're letting this guy play all three days?! wtf?!

It has been a very slow lately in terms of confirmations, I went trolling through MySpace's Music pages to see if anybody else had added ACL to their tour schedules, he was the only new entry.

1. It was a Music page, not a personal page, so the implication is that it is a gig.
2. The MySpace confirmations are not endorsed by ACL, however, why would somebody lie? It would not be in their best interest. He could be confused though and accidentally mixed shows he is attending with shows he is playing.
3. This is probably playing only on one day, probably, pretty early. They bury a lot of the Texas Country acts in those slots.
4. He very well could be a sideman or songwriter.

Either way, it was something to post and talk about.

Anyone can make a Myspace Music Page. This guy is not playing at the festival, just like he's not playing any of the shows listed on that page. He's got 3 shows listed on the same day at the same time (Jun 17th.) This is just some kid listing all the Texas Country shows coming to town. You know the rumors are coming slow when people point out "news" like this.

The schedule is out on Thursday, I would hope of more it starts leaking soon.

you guys are just jealous that you didn't think of putting the dates on your myspace page first. well now, you're not playing acl fest and this guy is. maybe next year.
