Wow...I bought tickets expecting a better show. I've gone to each one, but this one is lacking as far as the main bands. I don't go b/c of the headliners, but the lineup should include bigger names to end the days with. I'm moving to Illinois but thought I'd return to Texas in September for this. This isn't really worth the cost....I just hope I can recover the cost of the pass at this point.
It will be interesting to see how the pre-sale does next year. No doubt the "big names" were not what the people who put this on hoped for.
tom petty, definetly a must see van morrison, dig im, the white marvin gaye string cheese, not sure yet willie, good ole willie mayer..if he's playing blues shins, dig em los lonely boys, decent the flaming lips, not a big fan raconteurs, not sold on em yet
and about two or three lesser knowns i wouldn't mind seeing, three day tickets do seem a bit high.
may sound like i'm bitching but i dig the line-up, not the price
wow...a lineup for 40 year old yuppies and their parents!!!
honestly, i bought tickets in advance because they've had a solid lineup every year w/ headliners that were at least watchable...and this year it's just pathetic. tom petty - whatever...van morrison and willie nelson - yawn...2 septuagenarians headlining a festival for rock fans...wow...pathetic
SCI - does anyone like these guys? ben harper - i'll skip him for the 3rd year in a row ...again!?!? raconteurs - oh great, the shitty jack white band...so done
i couldn't be more underwhelmed. hard for me to imagine that they can't afford a better lineup - acl planners totally had their asses handed to them by the bonnaroo people
