I see no mention of Tool, yet they're coming back from their European tour on August...anyone think there's some evidence to include them into the possible acts?
No chance. Tool's music does not fit into what ACL is trying to bring to the table. Can you imagine a bunch of gothed out kids running around ACL Fest?? Would not fit at all. And by the way I am not dogging out tool fans because I happen to be a fan myself. Although I am not a goth kid.
umm, i dunno why, but i dont see what the big deal of having tool there is...im definitely not a goth kid either, but im a die hard fan and most of the tool fans i actually know are the same guys listening to radiohead and other bands you think would be good for ACL...just my opinion...anyways, I was just asking what the chances of them playing are..thanks for the responses.
myself I'm worried there will be too many "modern rock" bands & while TOOL is hardly the sterotypical example of modern rock, I dont need any more aggressive, loud noisey stuff furthermore TOOL is very dark--& the festival is very LIGHT I for one prefer it that way...
a little more variety is called for in ACL...while i would definitely picture Radiohead as a better closing act than Tool, I still believe Tool could pull it off nicely for some reason...
