Question:
That's the word on the street anyway.. think they're going to be headliners?

Choices:
Of course, it's not even a rumor anymore
Maybe, I just can't decide

I don't know, but I hope so.

While I don't see Radiohead as a typical ACL band, Coldplay wasn't either, and Radiohead aren't a Bonnaroo style band and they are playing there.

I will go ahead and say I think they will, just because it goes with ACL trying to pull the biggest bands in the world, Radiohead have no tour dates set on their site for that time, and they are playing other festivals both in America and across Europe.

It would be amazing, but I just don't see it happening. Especially with Tom Petty confirmed for Sunday now.

You don't see Radiohead as a typical ACL band? How about Massive Attack? It appears, now that Massive Attack is confirmed, they are starting to think outside the box. It is becoming more and more difficult to predict the lineup every year.

It's not an issue of thinking Radiohead wouldn't gel into the lineup well, because I think they would do just fine. I'm not slagging them off, they're one of my favorite bands. I just don't think they're going to show up at this festival. I have no basis for that, just a hunch.

But then again they're at Bonnaroo, so shows what I know. I certainly do hope they prove me wrong.

I think they would love to have Radiohead, it is a matter of Radiohead not being the headliner this year. I am pretty sure that it isNot a question of Radiohead not being a fit. Plenty of similar bands have played in recent years.

The "no fit" debate makes more sense when you talk about the Red Hot Chili Peppers, other hip-hop, metal acts.

Malone, you are a moron.
Radiohead is much larger than the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They sell out shows of over 1 million. dumbass

Read what I wrote before you call me names.

I was not writing about the size of the draw, nothing in my text alluded to booking bands on that criteria. I was talking about style of music.

I also said the ACL organizers would love to have Radiohead. I think Radiohead will be a headliner some other year. When Bonnaroo was announced, it was stated that Radiohead was only playing one U.S. Festival, Bonnaroo. I knew then they were not playing ACL.

I love Radiohead, I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, just cause I don't think they are playing ACL this year has no relation to me actually wanting them to play. I am going to be a happy concert goer no matter how things turn out.

Chill out.

I remember the Radiohead Bonaroo claim, but thay had also said there would be no more US 2006 dates AT ALL after Bonaroo, yet they posted some US dates. I read somewhere they were negotiating with ACL guys...hope this is true, as this is my favorite band.

I don't recall them saying they were not playing more U.S. dates. The only claim was Bonnaroo was hte only festival appearance in the summer of 2006. The U.S tour has been discussed and expected for awhile.

I'm pretty sure they're done with their pre album tour come ACL festival time. This is one of those dead horse rumors...
