I caught wind from a very legit source that Oysterhead is on the bill for ACL this year...

Oysterhead is the power trio featuring Les Claypool (Primus) Stewart Copeland (Police) and Trey Anastasio (Phish).

Im pretty sure about this, he was dead on about a few other things that paned out recently..

This would be very awesome, although I thought Bonnaroo was their only time getting back together?

What else has he predicted recently, and does he have any other news?

isaac-

He knew about the Duo/Trey/Mike/Phil Lesh tour dates almost a week in advance.

And he knew about the studio collaboration of Trey and the Duo that turned out to be true.

He also knew about a Brooklyn Phish DVD release, but that has yet to be offically announced.. But Ive seen a clip of the DVD so Im pretty sure that will pan out too.

He also knew about Trey opening for Petty in Houston a few weeks before the date poped up on pollstar..

I agree, it sounds like bullshit, but he has a direct source. Hes no around to mess with people. I wont vouch for it, but Im confident in this guy.

Les Clapool even said at a Electric Apricot Q&A screening that oysterhead was a one off at Bonnaroo, I guess things change. I will be at Bonnaroo, so I dont really care, Ill see my Oysterhead show there, but Im excited b/c this would mean Trey is there, and Im hoping to see the Duo with Trey and Mike!

Here is a quote for the source:

"heard nothing about ohead tour but they do have a 2nd date on the books, which is encoruaging to me

think festival. think september. think texas."

First off, Ownership, I wasn't aiming to call you a liar, just curious because we've heard lots of crazy things on this site.

It sounds like you've got a quite legitimate source though, so I'll take this as a serious rumor. I'd be really happy to see them, I'd assumed Anastasio would be there but to get a rare show like Oysterhead would be great.

Are you going to be at ACL then as well as Bonnaroo?

hey isaac-

no sweat, I just hate it when folks drop rumors without backing up why they believe its true. So I posted what he has correctly leaked as far as info. I hope it works out!

Yes dude, I will be at both Bonnaroo and ACL. Wild horses couldnt keep me away! I am really excited about Bonnaroo to be honest, it will be my 5th year to attend roo..

peace

It is really cool when people elaborate why their source is good. Nobody has to give the source away, but a little elaboration is good.

It is really easy to just say, "some reliable source" says "name your band" is playing. There are a few posts like this, by percentage, most are probably bs.

After reading your post, I am inclined to believe you, Oysterhead might be coming to ACL. I believe that one over a lot of the others.

I'm going to be crushed if Trey doesn't play this festival in some shape or fashion.

I'd like to see Oysterhead, but as long as Trey shows I'll be happy. I hope all this speculation is correct.

Oysterhead's okay, but I'd be much happier to see Trey/Mike/Duo, or Trey/Dave Matthews/Friends or Trey's current band.

i'd love to see Les.. Trey would be cool, but his presence would bring so many dirty hippies that the stench would overpower zilker park and we'd be forced to leave before their set was over

Oh, here is a joke a friend once told me:
"What do String Cheese Incident fans say when they run out of Pot?"
"God, this band really sucks"
